Abington Chapter
The Abington chapter assists nursing moms in Abington, Ardsley, Cheltenham, Dresher, Elkins Park, Glenside, Hatboro, Horsham, Huntingdon Valley, Jenkintown, Meadowbrook, Melrose Park, North Hills, Rydal, Willow Grove,Wyncote, and some parts of Philadelphia.

The Abington Chapter has Nursing Moms’ meetings at 10am on the third Monday of every month. All playgroups/meetings subject to cancellation or change. Spouses, pregnant moms-to-be, friends, siblings and babies are always welcome at all of our meetings! At each playgroup we offer a topic for discussion.
2010 Meetings:
Monday, January 18 @ 10 AM – Nursing; the First Six Months
Talk to other moms about getting out and about with your newborn and nursing in public.
Monday, February 15 @ 10 AM – Going Back to Work and Pumping/Sleep Issues
Discussion will include information about pumps, how to prepare for the return to work, milk storage, and how to continue your breastfeeding relationship once you return to work. We will also address sleep challenges and strategies.
Monday, March 15 @ 10 AM – Getting Fit After Baby
Moms will share ideas about diet and exercise for the nursing mom—how much, when, and how to fit it into your new schedule.
Monday, April 19 @ 10 AM – Reconnecting with Family After Baby/Introducing New Siblings and Preparing to Nurse Newborn with Other Children
How to balance the needs of your older children, spouse, and extended family with your commitment to breastfeeding your new baby.
Monday, May 17 @ 10 AM – Extended Nursing, Introducing Solids and Family Meal Ideas, Babyproofing
Learn how to make mealtime for your baby and your family fun and healthy. Discuss how breastfeeding changes as your baby becomes a toddler. Find out how to make your home safe as your infant becomes mobile and curious.

Share questions, concerns, and tips about nursing with other moms.
